Jefferson Veterinary Center sits at a unique intersection of Detroit, serving clients from Grosse Pointe to Hamtramck, from downtown professionals to long-established neighborhood families. Our community is diverse, resilient, and deeply connected to their animals.

We believe exceptional veterinary care shouldn’t be reserved for the few. So we’ve invested in the same technology trusted by NFL teams, employed licensed veterinary technicians, and built a team that treats every patient like their own.

Our newly renovated building houses state-of-the-art equipment: digital radiography, Class IV laser therapy, dental X-ray, and comprehensive surgical monitoring, all in one location.

Dr. Kera Sinclair

DVM · CVA (Certified Veterinary Acupuncture)

Dr. Sinclair attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate studies and obtained a degree in Biology and Education. She graduated from the college veterinary medicine in 2006. Dr. Sinclair spent three months in India working with exotics including elephants and monkeys during her time at MSU...

Dr. Sinclair brings a wealth of experience in emergency medicine and general practice. She is also certified in acupuncture. Dr. Sinclair has worked with a number of volunteer organizations such as the Anti Cruelty Society in downtown Chicago.

In her free time she enjoys photography, scrapbooking, watching college basketball and spending time with her family. Dr. Sinclair and her husband Mark have three wonderful 2 -legged children Owen, Conor, Evan and two 4-legged children Izzy (terrier mix) and Stella (cockapoo).

Dr. Lori Decker

DVM

Dr. Lori Decker graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She has worked in both private practice and shelter medicine in the Chicago and Detroit areas. In addition to treating dogs and cats, Dr. Decker enjoys small and furry pocket pets. Dr. Decker and her husband Jeff have 2 daughters and an assortment of dogs, cats and guinea pigs.
